With 80 km of prepared cross-country skiing tracks through forests and open countryside and excellent off-track touring possibilities in all directions, there is plenty to explore on ski and snowshoe. There is also the downhill piste just over the road for those who prefer alpine skiing and snowboarding. The resort has 28 downhill runs, served by 10 tows and two chairlifts. The longest run is over 3.5 km in length with a vertical drop of 500m. In addition, Rjukan is one of Europe's best areas for ice climbing with more than 150 ice routes. Your time here can be as action-packed, or as relaxed, as you want it to be.
